Product Use
This Vehicle Speed Sensor - Vss is specially designed for Golf Cart to LSV conversions where Speed Signal is needed for proper operation of the now required Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 141, Minimum Sound Requirements for Hybrid and Electric Vehicles.
This Speed Sensor is water and oil resistant and designed to operate in temperatures from -40°F to 300°F (-40°C to 150°C).
The Sensor replaces the Differential Oil Fill Plug, and senses the Vehicle Speed by "counting" the Gear Teeth on the Differential Ring Gear.
