Product Use

This Vehicle Sound for Pedestrians Amplifier IC (VSP) is especially developed for Automotive use.

The Amplifier IC satisfies all the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 141, Minimum Sound Requirements for Hybrid and Electric Vehicles.

The class-D Stereo Amplifier IC requires 10 VDC to 30 VDC power.

The VSP Amplifier IC (MRXVSP2D) is supplied in DIP-20 package.

Precision operation is assured by built in IC oscillator.

Vcc Power Input Pin is connected to nominal +12 VDC that has a Common Ground with the IC sound Input and Output as well as Control lines.

The 2 Digital Control Inputs control the four levels of the D Class amplifier gain.

  1. PVCCL       Power supply for left channel H-bridge
  2. SD              Shutdown signal for IC (low = disabled, high = operational).
  3. MUTE         Mute signal for quick disable/enable of outputs
  4. LIN              Audio input for left channel

  6. BYPASS     Reference for pre-amplifier inputs
