Product Use

This 12 VDC Power Supply Protection is especially developed for Automotive use, protecting sensitive electronic devices such as microcontrollers from Reverse Voltage, Load Dump and High Energy Inductive Spikes.

Output Voltage is protected for reversed Input Polarity by Schottky Diode.

Dual Varistors provides protection from overvoltage spikes such as those caused by Ingintion System.

TVS Diode provides protection from Load Dump and High Voltage and High Energy Spikes.

The specially constructed Inductor and Electrolityc Capacitors absorb and filter out any high frequency noise.

The 12 VDC Power Supply Protection electronically protects devices connected to the Output, even under high current Load (up to 12A) at typical automotive system voltage (10 VDC to 14.4 VDC).

In constant ON applications it can carry up to 12 Ampere load, while in pulsed applications up to 16 Amperes may be switched ON momentarily.

The 12 VDC Power Supply Protection can be used to protect sensitive automotive circuits from possibly damaging transients in power supply voltage. 

The LED located on the PCB is ON when the Output Power is ON.
